Christianese 101: God said you’re my WIFE!

wifey_orNAw–>Manipulation, propheLYING, and ABUSE!<–

Ladies, there’s a type of man that seems holy, but as time progresses their real fruit is revealed. They like seeming saved or ‘nice’ publicly, but behind closed doors they are a vicious snake. A man can pray, but that doesn’t make him holy. He can go to church, but that doesn’t make him righteous. Does he really believe in God’s word? Or does he just use God’s name to manipulate you into doing what his flesh desires? In this day and age, where people so easily lie on God and what He has spoken, it’s important to know the difference! Now, I already wrote a blog post about women who hear that a man is their husband(Read about it HERE), but some of you guys don’t have that problem. Some of you guys have guys telling you, you are their WIFE! Sis, if you’re not married yet, or know some single women, it’s time to listen up, because this one message is important! Let’s turn to 1 Kings 13:

“For a command came to me by the word of the LORD, ‘You shall eat no bread, nor drink water there; do not return by going the way which you came.’”He said to him, “I also am a prophet like you, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” But he lied to him. So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house and drank water.

Now it came about, as they were sitting down at the table, that the word of the LORD came to the prophet who had brought him back; and he cried to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Because you have disobeyed the command of the LORD, and have not observed the commandment which the LORD your God commanded you, but have returned and eaten bread and drunk water in the place of which He said to you, “Eat no bread and drink no water”; your body shall not come to the grave of your fathers.’” It came about after he had eaten bread and after he had drunk, that he saddled the donkey for him, for the prophet whom he had brought back. Now when he had gone, a lion met him on the way and killed him, and his body was thrown on the road, with the donkey standing beside it; the lion also was standing beside the body. And behold, men passed by and saw the body thrown on the road, and the lion standing beside the body; so they came and told it in the city where the old prophet lived.”

1 Kings 13:17-25(NKJV)

Okay, we see here there are two ‘no name prophets’, one heard from God exactly what he was supposed to do and the other one also heard from God, supposedly. The first prophet listens to the second prophet thinking that he was a reputable source since he recognized the other man as a prophet, but as you continue to read on we see as plain as day that the prophet should’ve listened to what God told him first and not what the other ‘prophet’ spoke because his lack of listening to God led to his death. How many times do we do this though? How many times does God speak something to us, but instead of listening to what He said we listen to what other people are saying? Then we blame God for the spiritual ‘death’ that’s happening in our lives because we didn’t just listen to Him in the first place. Just because someone says God said something doesn’t mean you should immediately follow it. Get confirmation and read God’s word for yourself! If God instructs you to do something, you do what He told YOU to do and not what anyone else is speaking against you.

“But, Adrianna, I respect this man! He has a great influence in the church!” Or “this person who told me this guy is my husband, is a well-known prophet in my area!!”
Look, God has allowed me to see–has opened my eyes–and given me revelation that there are women who have barely grown in the faith who are falling for this particular tactic of the enemy. First of all, if a man or prophet is telling you about your husband but your Spirit doesn’t agree with it, God told you the opposite, or it contradicts God’s word, then it’s not God. If you’ve rejected the guy for valid reasons, are scared, or are feeling rushed, this is NOT God! God’s nature does NOT produce fear, it does NOT produce anxiousness, and it does NOT rush!  He will not contradict His word or what His word says He is! God does not need to guilt trip you into a relationship, since relationships are very gray areas as far as free will. He will never threaten you to stay in a relationship with a guy.

Sis, sometimes people abuse their authority or position in the church without really thinking about it. Some people follow their flesh more than the Spirit and will speak things to get what they desire and not what God wills. It’s important to be vigilant and sober minded! Some women are in marriages they jumped into out of fear. Some women doubted the validity of their relationship before they married that man, but did so anyways because of a word they received from a ‘prophet’. It’s important to know how to rightly divide God’s word for yourself and to hear from Him properly! A true man of God will NOT carelessly say that God said something He didn’t say! When a man really serves God there should be an undeniable reverence for God that tells him to not cross that line, especially when it’s as plain as day that you don’t want to be with the man.

If you’re in a situation like this or know of a sister in the faith that is being prophelied to like this, please get out of that relationship! Don’t be afraid to back away and seek God about it yourself. Forgive this person for knowing or unknowingly abusing God’s name and sharpen your relationship with God.

And to the men who prey on women by lying about what God spoke and said to them…look, bro, that’s God’s name, put some respek’ on it! Don’t say you serve God, but place your flesh and will over God’s. You cannot force a relationship. Repent. If it’s God’s will, GOD is the one who will cause things to fall into place not YOU! You don’t have to pray prayers against this woman’s will. You don’t have to fast all night and day. All you have to do is have faith in God! The just and righteous live by faith not works! And even though these works seem spiritual, real trust and faith in God means resting in Him and trusting His timing and how He wants to do things. You cannot and should NEVER rush God and coerce God or anyone into doing something. Put her on the shelf and give the relationship to God.

“Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.”

Psalm 37:5-6(NKJV)
